It started in 1978, when my dad bought his third FJ40 Land Cruiser. That same Cruiser is still earning its miles today, pushing through challenging terrain like Moab, the Rubicon, and the Rocky Mountains. You can follow along on my YouTube channel, InLowGear, where we document real off-road projects, overlanding adventures, and backcountry camping—showing what works, what doesn’t, and the lessons learned along the way.
For years, people told me that certain shots deserved to be on a t-shirt. Golden-hour canyon walls. Dust at sunset. A Land Cruiser perched on steep Moab ledges. This shop grew out of that idea, but it’s become something more—a way to share these experiences and hopefully inspire others who dream of exploring the backcountry.
When I was younger, I couldn’t travel to all these places, and I wished I had somewhere to experience that sense of adventure and possibility. That’s what this website is meant to be. A place where the road becomes art, and where maybe someone finds the spark to start their own journey.
This is a side project born from passion, not a large business venture. I have a full-time day job that keeps me quite busy, so this shop is truly an extension of a lifelong love for classic Land Cruisers and real off-road travel. All items are custom made to order using print-on-demand services. Custom orders are welcome, and if you see something from a video or have a special request, please reach out.
Our adventures continue with future plans for Alaska and the Smokey Mountains, all without trailering. We also attend Land Cruiser events throughout the year, showcasing 40, 60, 70, 80, and 100 series from the community.
